The Vaccine Subsidy Scheme, also known as the VSS, and the Elderly Healthcare Voucher Scheme are created by the Hong Kong Government to subsidise the costs of vaccinations and private primary healthcare. What is the Vaccine Subsidy Scheme (VSS)?
The Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS) is a public-private scheme arranged to encourage influenza vaccination and pneumococcal vaccination to eligible Hong Kong residents. The Hong Kong government subsidises the cost of vaccinations to eligible persons.
OT&P Healthcare encourages all eligible persons to take advantage of this scheme to prevent the chances of catching or developing severe forms of Flu and pneumococcal diseases such as pneumonia, bacteremia, sinusitis, meningitis, and otitis media.

Who Is Eligible For the Vaccine Subsidy Scheme?
Seasonal Influenza Vaccination (SIV)
- Pregnant Women
- Persons of age 50 years or above (count by year of birth)
- Children aged 6 months to less than 18 years (or persons aged 18 years or above but studying secondary schools in Hong Kong)
- Persons with intellectual disability
- Recipients of Disability Allowance; or
- Recipients of standard rate of "100% disabled" or "requiring constant attendance" under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme
Pneumococcal Vaccination (PV)
- Hong Kong residents of age 65 years or above (count by year of birth)

Elderly Person's Healthcare Voucher Scheme
What is the Elderly Person's Healthcare Voucher Scheme?
The Hong Kong Government provides vouchers to pay for private primary healthcare services to eligible persons. They can get $2,000 worth of healthcare vouchers per year which can be rolled over until they meet the accumulation limit of $8,000. The annual amount is deposited in their voucher account on 1 January from the year in which they become eligible under the Elderly Health Care Voucher Scheme.
What Can I Get With My Elderly Person's Healthcare Voucher?
The vouchers can be spent on services provided by medical practitioners including preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare services.

Who Is Eligible for the Elderly Person's Healthcare Voucher Scheme?
Elderly persons aged 65 or above and holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card or Certificate of Exemption issued by the Immigration Department, except for those who obtained a Hong Kong Identity Card by virtue of a previous permission to land or remain in Hong Kong granted to him/ her and such permission has expired or ceased to be valid, are eligible to receive and use the vouchers to pay for private primary healthcare services.
