Mrs Maré is a Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 13 years of international clinical experience working with children aged 1 to 17 across the UK and Hong Kong. She brings a wealth of expertise from a diverse range of settings, including specialist schools, hospital-based services within the NHS, and private practice.
Mrs Maré earned her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Oxford Brookes University and has since pursued extensive postgraduate training, including Sensory Integration (SIPT), Primitive Reflex Integration, the SOS Approach to Feeding, Therapeutic Listening, and more. Her clinical work spans a wide range of developmental needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and global developmental delays.
She delivers comprehensive, individualised assessment and intervention, supporting children across sensory, motor, and functional domains, and adapting her approach to each child and family’s unique needs. She has extensive experience supporting children with fine and gross motor delays, alongside a broad range of developmental needs.
At the core of Mrs Maré’s practice is a strong belief that therapy is most effective when there is close collaboration between the therapist, family, and school team. She prioritises clear, supportive communication, helping parents to deeply understand their child’s needs and empowering them to confidently support progress beyond therapy sessions.
In her role as Lead Occupational Therapist, she provides clinical supervision and mentoring to other therapists, supporting high standards of care across the service. She has also played a key role in developing occupational therapy services, designing and setting up therapy environments across multiple clinics, and leading clinical programmes.
Alongside her clinical work, Mrs Maré has delivered workshops for parents and schools, and has been invited to speak at conferences. She is also the co-founder of Break It Kids, a sensory-informed movement programme developed with her husband, to support children’s regulation and engagement in everyday activities. She has also created practical resources to support parents in understanding and managing their child’s sensory and developmental needs.
Over the course of her career, she has supported hundreds of children and families, bringing both clinical expertise and a warm, family-centred approach to her work.
Born in Austria and raised in Texas, Mrs Maré is fluent in English and German.
As a parent herself, she brings an added level of empathy and real-world understanding to her practice, recognising both the challenges and joys of supporting a child’s development.
