Kirstin is a paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families across special and mainstream schools, NHS hospitals, and clinics in both the UK and Hong Kong. She works with children from birth through to adolescence, providing the full Occupational Therapy process from initial assessment to comprehensive, individualised treatment plans, working closely with parents every step of the way. Alongside her role with OT&P Healthcare, Kirstin is co-owner of the Parent Infant Programme (PIP), where she runs specialised sensory integration baby development classes, supporting families in the earliest and most formative stages of their child's life.
Having grown up in Hong Kong with Chinese and English parents, Kirstin moved to the UK to study, completing a BSc in Early Childhood Development and Learning followed by an MSc in Occupational Therapy. During her training, she gained invaluable experience through placements at prestigious NHS hospitals in London, including King's College Hospital and University College Hospital.
Kirstin takes a child centred, goal directed approach that prioritises close collaboration with families, ensuring therapy is both effective and meaningful. She believes strongly in the importance of early intervention and the lasting impact that timely, thoughtful support can have on a child's development and participation in daily life. She regularly delivers workshops to parents and teachers alike, sharing practical strategies and insights to support children's development both at home and in the classroom.
Kirstin is committed to pursuing a range of postgraduate training, including primitive reflex integration, interoception, toileting, and Ayres Sensory Integration. She has specialised knowledge in toileting and takes particular care in supporting parents through this important developmental journey, helping families navigate challenges with confidence and sensitivity.
