Overview

What is Elantan?

Elantan is a medication primarily used for the treatment of angina pectoris, a condition characterised by chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. The active ingredient in Elantan is isosorbide mononitrate, which belongs to a class of drugs known as nitrates. Isosorbide mononitrate works by relaxing and widening blood vessels (vasodilator), making it easier for blood to flow to the heart while reducing its workload.
