Where Can I Get Probiotics From?

Choosing the right kind of probiotic can help you derive maximum benefit.

There are several ways you can consume probiotics, including:[1]

  1. Foods
  2. Drinks
  3. Supplement in the form of capsules, pills, powders, or liquids

Probiotics supplements may sometimes be combined with a prebiotic. Prebiotics are complex carbohydrates that feed the microorganisms in your gut, acting as a “food source” for good bacteria. Prebiotics include inulin, pectin, and resistant starches. When you have a supplement that combines a probiotic and prebiotic, they are called synbiotic.[1]
