While there is no medically-attested treatment for morning sickness, there are remedies that can alleviate the discomfort. 

  • Eating a piece of toast or similar snack before getting out of bed
  • Avoiding any smells that increase the nausea
  • Drinking a light ginger infusion or eating foods that contain ginger, as ginger is believed to reduce sickness and vomiting
  • Getting plenty of rest

If the morning sickness does not improve despite the above remedies and any other medical advice from your doctor, anti-sickness medicine may be recommended. 

Antiemetics, a type of medicine to stop sickness, is often given in the form of antihistamine, which is also commonly used for allergies.
