Transmission of Rhinoviruses

Symptoms of Infection

Methods of Prevention

  • Wear a mask: If you are symptomatic or is staying with someone with respiratory symptoms, it is best to wear a mask properly. 
  • Practice respiratory hygiene: Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing or sneezing. Dispose of used tissues properly. 
  • Clean and disinfect: Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and mobile devices. 
  • Boost your immune system: Maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating a balanced diet, having enough hydration, exercising regularly, managing stress, and ensuring adequate sleep. A robust immune system can help fend off infections. 
  • Vaccines: There are currently NO known vaccines vs Rhinoviruses.
