Experience

Dr K K Leung is a member of Register of Clinical Psychologists accredited by Department of Health, Hong Kong. He has also been a Registered Clinical Psychologist of Hong Kong Psychological Society since 2014, and a Registered Psychologist with the scope of practice in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in New Zealand Psychologists Board since 2014.

He graduated in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hong Kong with Distinction in 1996. He completed his PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Hong Kong in 2008 while working as a Clinical Psychologist-in-charge in Tung Wah Hospital since 1997. He then worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist in Wellington Regional Hospital of New Zealand from 2017 to 2020. He is currently an Honorary Supervisor of the Doctor of Clinical Psychology Programme in Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. He had also been Honorary Clinical Supervisor to the Departments of Psychology of the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong before he relocated to New Zealand. He was also an Honorary Assistant Professor to the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine of HKU from 2003 to 2009.

Dr K K Leung has a particular interest in the mental and brain health of adults and the LGBTIQ community. He performs psychometric assessment of cognitive functioning on adults. He is devoted to evidence-based psychological practice to ensure an effective psychotherapy for different types of mental and psychological disorders.
