Midwifery

What is OT&P's approach to Midwifery?

Our team provides tailored consultations and valuable insights for soon-to-be parents, with the help of our professional midwifery partners at Annerley. We are focused on providing the best family-centred maternity care and peace of mind throughout your pregnancy.

Our midwives work closely with other specialists to prepare for every scenario possible, and are trained to give parents training and feedback to properly care for their newborn after birth. In case of emergencies and when it is absolutely necessary, we can arrange home visits so you can receive support from the comfort of your home.

Who should get a Midwifery consultation?

Once you're 8 weeks pregnant, we highly recommend seeing a midwife so you can start planning your pregnancy and bring up any concerns you may have about the process.

Your designated midwife will regularly be in touch through your entire pregnancy cycle, and they work hand-in-hand with our obstetricians and gynaecologists to provide support during birth and post-birth. They can also act as an emergency contact in times of need and support you in handling any post-pregnancy issues.
