He has been a member of the Royal College of Physician in London since 1996. He developed his interest in brain health and evidence-based medicine as a research fellow at the Walton Centre for Neurology and specialist medial registrar at Oxford University Hospitals.
In 2000, he moved to Hong Kong and worked for the Department of Health and NGO for 6 years where he observed how a common set of factors determined the health of many urban and remote communities. He then entered private general practice promoting lifestyle, nutrition and brain health as sustainable solutions to the modern epidemic of chronic illnesses. He continues to pursue excellence in healthcare, undertake regular sabbaticals at university hospitals and attain post-graduate academic qualifications.
Dr Simon Lam has extensive experience managing chronic medical conditions and sub-optimal health using standards-of-care diagnostics and therapeutics while personalising an integrated action plan for optimal function, wellbeing and healthspan.

Tim’s main area of medical interest lies in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. Time practices Functional Medicine at OT&P Healthcare, as an adjunct to offering patients Family Medicine services. He is especially interested in children with developmental problems such as autism. He has spoken at several conferences and published papers on this subject.
Tim has travelled to other countries in the region where he has held clinics for children with developmental problems.
