Experience

Dr Bianca Ho received her graduate training in Counselling Psychology in University of Southern Mississippi (USM), U.S. a programme which was accredited by the American Psychological Association. She has more than 15 years of experience working with children, parents, couples, and adults with relationship issues. She also have 10+ years of experience providing training and clinical supervisions for counsellors and psychologist-trainees.

Dr Ho has a strong passion for working with children and parents. She believes that many of the presenting concerns, regardless of those presented by children, parents, or adults has a root cause. Therapies become effective only when these root causes are being visited, understood, and transformed to new awareness, new meaning-making, behavoiours, and interpersonal dynamics.

Dr Ho provides a well-rounded psychotherapy service or parents consultation for parents as early as in prenatal stage up through children in late adolescence stage. She also works with individuals and couple who would like to strengthen the parent-child relationship, marital relationship or to address concerns on pre-postnatal depression and parenting concerns.

She is keen on adopting an integrative treatment approach that aims at getting to the root cause of the presenting concerns, including play therapy, psychodynamic play therapy, sandplay, filial therapy, parents consultation for children; sandtray therapy, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy, and emotional-focused therapy for adults; and newborn behavioural observations and parents consultation for newborns and infants. Periodically, she holds small-group classes on child psychology and parenting too.
