Introduction
Health Assessments provide you with an excellent opportunity to detect disease and health issues in their early stages. It gives you the time to explore not only your health but also your lifestyle too.
Each assessment includes quality time with a specialist health assessment doctor or nurse to discuss your personal health concerns, and of course, the peace of mind of getting an understanding of your health.
We’ll give you advice based on your consultation and results, then share with you some recommendations for changes in your lifestyle. You’ll have quick and easy access to further diagnostic tests and treatment, should this be required.
After your assessment you’ll receive a full health report so you have a record of all your results You can benefit from advice on maintaining and improving your wellbeing, both now and for the future.
Screening is the term used for examining or testing well people in an attempt to identify disease early.
The most effective health screening involves a full medical history and examination. Your doctor will then be able to make specific recommendations on future screening.
Very important in screening is targeting specific individual risks, for example:
- Is there a family history?
- Do you smoke?
- Are you overweight?

Child Health Check
For children, the main goal of a health check is to ensure the early recognition and treatment of conditions which may compromise growth and learning in addition to providing immunisation against the common infectious diseases of childhood. We recommend that infants should have an examination and growth and development check with their routine vaccinations. Thereafter, we recommend annual check-ups to the age of five and check-ups every two years after that.
