Making Appointments
You can make an appointment by calling reception during office hours. The telephone numbers of our receptions and the office hours are listed on our home page. If you need to be seen urgently please inform the receptionist, we will always make urgent appointments on the same day.

Out-of-Hours
OT&P does not provide out-of-hours cover, although some doctors, such as our obstetricians, can be contacted out-of-hours by their patients. If you ring the office number you will be advised to “call 999 in an emergency or to attend a hospital”. Some private hospitals such as The Hong Kong Sanatorium, Canossa, Matilda International and Adventist all offer out-of-hours clinics. The government also has a network of Accident and Emergency Departments. See the end of this sheet for a list of phone numbers.

During the Consultation:
We encourage you to be involved in selecting a treatment plan.

Your doctor will assess your condition and you will both create a treatment plan. Make sure that you are completely clear about the steps you need to take and, if necessary, when you will need to be reassessed. If your next appointment is some time away you
can ask to be sent a reminder. We have a program to screen for risk factors which depends on age and your doctor may advise screening tests.

Testing
You may need to have laboratory tests to help find a diagnosis or monitor your progress. Any blood tests will usually be taken on-site. The charge for investigations includes nursing and administration costs. You will be asked how we should contact you with the results, usually an appointment, phone, text or email. If you would like to be emailed a soft copy of your results please ask your doctor.

by comparing them with your invoice. If you experience any side effects, stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice. The charge for medications includes pharmacy and administration costs.
